Fall Fish Festival at Taylor Creek

"For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God." Romans 1:20

It was a gorgeous day out in the wild. My limnology class had a field trip today and we drove a several hours north to South Lake Tahoe to observe Kokanee salmon spawning. We were in for a treat! Even the black bears and many birds came to crash the party. I'm so bumped out I didn't pack a better zoom lens to capture this spectacle. I will likely revisit before the spawning season is over at the end of October. I will definitely be well equipped then!

That summer

That summer I was on the other side of the Pacific. Moonlight softly touches the surface of the water as the sea roared restlessly. Warm ocean breeze gently kissed our cheeks and rustled through the leaves behind us. I lost count of how many stray cats we chased and oh, the lightening strikes we caught. Like kids, we ran along the shore with sand between our toes. Some things just don't change. Memory is surely a beautiful thing.
